Penzance: Land's End Boat Tour with Wildlife Guides

+8 photos
A journey to the very tip of mainland Britain — dramatic cliffs, celebrated heritage landmarks and the UK's most wildlife-rich waters. Led by expert guides.
Land’s End from the sea is a completely different experience to Land’s End from the clifftop. Departing from the historic harbour of Penzance, Coast Boat Trips takes you along one of the most dramatic and storied stretches of coastline in Britain — all the way to the most south-westerly point of mainland UK.
As we head down the coast, your expert guide brings the rich heritage of this coastline to life. The Minack Theatre — one of the world’s most extraordinary open-air theatres, carved into the clifftop above the sea. Porthcurno Beach, with its astonishing turquoise water. Heritage fishing villages tucked into hidden coves. And then, the Longships Lighthouse — standing sentinel off the tip of Land’s End, marking the point where the Atlantic takes over.
Beyond Land’s End, we venture out to the offshore shelf where the ocean depths meet the coast. This is prime wildlife territory — dolphins, porpoises, whales and seabirds are regularly encountered here, drawn by the nutrient-rich waters that swirl around the headland.
On board, your guide is a qualified wildlife and ecology specialist. Every sighting is an opportunity to learn — about the species, the habitat, and what makes this stretch of coastline so extraordinarily rich in life. On the return journey, we cruise past the historic St Michael’s Mount before arriving back in Penzance.
