Tombs of French emperors on the Ring Road. A masterpiece of early Gothic art, it was a powerful abbey church and an extremely important pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages. Since successive French kings were buried here, the fate of the Basilica of Saint-Denis was closely linked to the imperial power. There are more than 70 beautifully carved mausoleums here today, and the tomb owners include Dagobert, François I, Queen Caterina de Medici and Louis XVI.

Starting Oct 17, 2025, this admission ticket grants access to the Basilica Cathedral of Saint Denis Royal Necropolis and La Flèche Factory attraction (only the Royal Necropolis is open on Mondays; La Flèche Factory is closed).
Please note the attraction's opening hours are as follows (the operating hours provided are for reference only, actual opening hours may vary on the day of your visit - we recommend arriving early to avoid affecting your tour):
1. From Apr 1 to Sep 30, opening hours are 10:00–18:15 from Mon–Sat, and 12:00–18:15 on Sun; last entry is 30 mins before the attraction closes. Please note that only the Royal Tombs are open on Mondays.
2. From Oct 1 to Mar 31, opening hours are 10:00–17:15 from Monday to Saturday, and 12:00–17:25 on Sunday. Last entry is 30 minutes before the attraction closes. Please note that only the Royal Tombs are open on Mondays.
3. Attraction closing dates: Jan 1, May 1, and Dec 25
4. Free admission to attractions: The third weekend of September every year (World Heritage Day)

Please do not bring large baggage. Luggage exceeding 40x40x20 cm will not be permitted entry, and no lockers are available on-site.
Please note the following items are prohibited in the attraction: selfie sticks, tripods, motorcycle helmets, scooters, roller skates, sharp objects, and glass bottles.
Strollers are not allowed inside the attraction. You may leave your stroller with the gate staff and retrieve it after your visit.
Free admission is available to all visitors on select dates. The following visitors always enjoy free entry: children under 18, EU citizens aged 18 to 25 or non-EU French residents, visitors with disabilities and one companion.
Free admission groups must present credentials at the attraction ticket office to exchange for a free ticket before entering.
