The history of Boulogne-sur-Mer: 25 centuries of history, from the Morini, a people of the 4th century, to the present day. Boulogne-sur-Mer was also a Roman stronghold, then a strategic point of defense against the English in the Middle Ages, before becoming, in the 19th century, the ideal place, according to the young Napoleon, to attempt to invade England.
